TNT" is the name of the weekly youth group meeting at Parsippany Baptist Church. Perhaps you are wondering about the significance of its name? First, every effort is made to make this a dynamic time each evening. Second, it also functions as an acrostic for "Teens Need Training."

The TNT youth group meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and is for teenagers in 7th-12th grade. At this same time the adults are gathered for prayer meeting and the younger children for their Patch-the-Pirate program. On certain occasions all groups meet together in the auditorium for a special speaker or event.

The general format of TNT involves a variety of things. We usually start with some singing and then take time for prayer as this is the church's mid-week prayer meeting. We conclude by having a Bible lesson. Whereas in Sunday School we focus on covering Bible books, in TNT we tend to be more flexible and/or topical. Of course, any topic, current event, issue, question, etc. is always approached from a Biblical perspective.

One new feature for TNT this year is "Questions-from-a-Can." All month long the teens are encouraged to submit any question they might have into "The Can" which is out each meeting. Then, the last TNT of the month is devoted to Pastor Briden pulling out the questions and answering them. It has proved to be quite informative as well as a lot of fun.
